  1. MacTCP Watcher v1.1.0 displays the internal data of MacTCP.  It shows
  2. this Mac's IP, DNS name, and all the internal information that MacTCP
  3. provides (much of which I don't understand, so please don't ask me
  4. what it means!).  It will also list all the currently open TCP connections,
  5. and the information on each of them.  As well, it allows you to test 
  6. MacTCP and your network, using the ICMP Ping protocol, the UDP & TCP
  7. Echo protocols (you'll need a machine that supports the echo protocol,
  8. most unix machines do, and I've implemented them in MacTCP Watcher,
  9. so you can run the program on two Macs and test the network between
  10. them as well as the MacTCP configuration on each of them), and it 
  11. tests out the DNS by looking up the name of a given IP or IP of a given 
  12. name.  It should be useful to people having MacTCP configuration troubles,
  13. network or Domain Name System problems, or the cronically curious.

  15. MacTCP Watcher is free, and comes with a free copy of Eric Behr's
  16. MacTCP Info document (thanks Eric!), so if you have MacTCP problems,
  17. check it out.

  19. Changes since 1.0.0
  20. ICMP (Ping) and UDP test have been totally revamped, now they give 
  21.     you min/max/ave, sent/returned/lost, continuous tests, etc.
  22. Connection list should always update.
  23. You can Copy the DNS IP or Name after a successful DNS query.
  24. Added a hack to allow disabling of Reverse Name Lookup Failed messages.
